Your Meat is Mine

Human desire for meat products has turned a basic need for food into an unstoppable want.

Your Meat is Mine investigates the blurred boundaries between ‘Need’ and ‘Want’ in a story where farmed animals take center stage, becoming allegories of an insatiable hunger.

In this series, colours, sharp details and abstract images create a vivid representation of a sinister doom. Animal blood, organs and body parts become inanimate vessels openly discarded. Empty slaughterhouses are desolate topographies with sterile scenery. Livestock is solitary.

The project reflects on what lies behind meat consumption in modern society and it takes place in farms and slaughterhouses in Slovenia.
